The M3904 is a multi line digital phone that will support up to 12 lines on the phone.
It is intended to work with the Nortel Networks Option 11c, Option 51c, Option 61c and Option 81c as well as the Succession PBX phone systems. MSL11 software or higher with M3900 R2 Firmware or higher. The PBX must also contain IPE based Digital Line Cards with enchanced XPEC.
All M39xx series phones have a display that is self labeling. This means you do not have any paper labels on your telephone any more. The display will show you your phone lines, phone system features and services as needed. These keys are automatically updated as the PBX's programming is updated. Users of the M3904 may also choose to customize certain keys around the display.
This phone has a popular feature called SMART MUTE. The M3904 knows if you are using the handset, a headset or the speakerphone and then mutes THAT channel to be sure you are completly muted and private when you want to be.
This phone includes specific features that make it a wonderful choice for most executives desks.
The Nortel M3904 has one of the largest displays of any phone in it's class. The display is also self labeling, meaning the keys around the display change to meet user needs.
The M3904 has a personal directory and a call log. Further, all M3900 series phones have access to the phone systems coporate directory as well as LDAP or Lightweight Directory Access Protocal compatible phone systems.
The M3904 supports a PC utility for the personal directory and this allows you to create a directory of 100 names you can downlaod to the M3904.
WARNING : Not all M3904's are alike. Current Nortel switching supports Release 3 and above M3904's. Use cation when purchasing so that you do mot purchase a release 1 or release 2.
The Release 3 M3904 has a full duplex speakerphone as well with use of attachement.
