Product Description
The Avaya Phone 8 is an external module for the IP Office 400 and IP Iffice 500 phone systems

It is used to add 8 analog station ports to the above mentioned phone systems.

The Phone 8 is available in two versions, Version 1, part number 700184773 and Version 2, part number 70035989.

Phone 8 Version 1 Compatibility
* Version 1 is compatible with the Avaya IP403, IP406 V1, IP406 V2, and IP412

* It is also compatible with Avaya IP500 operating Professional Edition

Phone 8 Version 2 Changes and Compatibility
* Version 2 utilizes a 3-pin, 60W external power supply unit.

* If operating IP Office 3.1, the message waiting indication settings can be configured for None, On, 51V Stepped, 81V, Line Reversal A or Line Reversal B. On will use the default determined by the system. The POT ports on a Phone 8 V2 can also be configured for 101V operation.

* The ports do not provide ring gen. For phones where this is a requirement, connection should be via a master socket containing ringing capacitors.

* The DTE serial port on the rear of the module is a 9-pin D-type

* Version 2 is compatible with IP403, IP406 V1, IP406 V2, and IP412

* Also compatible with IP500 operating Professional Edition
