Norstar Call Pilot Gets a Name Change?FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE March 12, 2009 In doing some research on the Nortel Network website it appears the the Call Pilot 100 and Call Pilot 150 have a name change in store. The Norstar Call Pilot 100 and Call Pilot 150 have been the two voicemail choices compatible with all Norstar ICS Key Phone Systems since Nortel discontinued the Flash 2 and Flash 4 voicemail systems. It appears that Nortel Networks has simply replace the notation Call Pilot with the word "Messaging" That's right, we now have a Messaging 100 and a Messaging 150. As far as I can tell from all of the online literature, the specifications remain the same and only the name has changed. I can only speculate as to the reasoning but maybe it had to do confusion over the fact that they also entitled the voicemail system in the PBX switches "Call Pilot" as well. * Norstar CICS 4.1 or Higher |
